Well i have had better luck than what i had this past weekend.
I was on my home saturday afternoon from visting my dadjust as dark fell. "My11yr son was with me at the time" . We had just turned west onto a county highway that would lead us back home.
We had not gone 1/8 mile when all i sawwas a blurr out of the corner of my left eye.
A11/2 old six ptrunning very fast jumpsover the other the other lain slamming into us.
I didn`t even have time to hit the breaks. We hit very hard! we were doing about 55-60mph
My son was shook up a little but thats all. I thank god no one was hurt.
Crazy thing is my son and i were talking about maby being able to see a deer before getting home(We did)
My truck 05f150 Nowi am going to need a lft ft door, hood, l left frt fender, mirror, grill..ect about 4 to 5 thousand dollars in damage.
I was going to go hunting sunday morning Oh-well there is always next week.

I drilled a doe right before bowseason. I can around a turn doing about 50 she landed in the middle of the road and I got slowed to about 30 but I hit her in the rear head and snapped her back she was dead when I found her. My truck is an 04 f150 and it cost me 1800 to fix it. And I almost hit another doe in the same place 2 days ago. She was a hoss of a doe too around 90-100 lbs.

The trooper that that stopped to help us asked if it would be ok to donat it to feed the hungry?
I told him that i would be happy to do so. I am just glad that it would be put to good use.

A few years ago, I hit one (more like it hit me) when on my motorcycle. I was on a dark Wisconsin country road and it came dashing out from my left in a blink of an eye. Luckily for me, I didn't hit it head on. I hit the head with my left thigh and I had a nice football sized bruise for a while! I didn't spill the bike, but I got knocked of the seat a little and had a nice tank-slapper. The deer wasn't found on the road and we did not want to hand around that dark road with no shoulder very long.
