I usually eat something before I go out. I also bring 2 PBJ's, a couple of the Snickers power bars and my Camelback back pack. It holds 100oz which is more than enough for the whole day. I put the sandwiches and bars in ziplocks.

All I need for a full day in the woods is a bottle of water. I do/will be raiding my two son's halloween bags tomorrow night. All the snickers, kit-kats, reese's cups, almond joys, twix and peanut m&m's will be confiscated and donated to dad's hunting pack.

My backpack is like an RV! I bring it all, coffee, water, candy, trail mix, fruit, summer sausage, pepper cheese, MRE's and you name it!
I totally enjoy hunting, but if I were cold and hungry, I probably wouldn't. I play a game with the noise wrappers though. Not sure if it works, but it makes me feel better about making noise.
I've got no shortage of leafs on my stand since there's a blind wrapped around it and there is no way for them to escape. So I will grunt and rustle the leaves as I pull out my food, which I've also placed in a zip lock like others have mentioned. And then I don't waste any time eating it. I like to get the smell out of there and stop the movement ASAP. I did shoot a buck one year right after I'd filled my coffee mug and had pepper cheese and summer sausage on a cracker hanging out of my mouth. I was hunting with a rifle, but the buck was only about twenty yards away. It was around 2 PM.

I only all day it during the firearm season, that coincides with the rut, usually in a coop or coverred blind. 12" Steak and cheese or roast chicken sub from subway, maybe a chocolate bar, some trail mix, couple cokes anda bottleof water, possibly a thermos of boiling water and cup of noodles. If your comfortable and full on stand you will stay all day!
Everything goes out in a large ziplok bag. I dont worry about noise I make while eating or smells.. That time I consider myself "on break".
