Well. I went back yesterday during lunch by myselfand yesterday afternoon with some friends. we did a grid search of the whole area. and didnt find any more blood then I sawyesterday morning and no deer. With no blood its tough cause he could have gone a mile in any direction. I feel bad but I know that we looked for him to the best of our abilitys so that helps a little.

Well if you have done all you can its time to move on. Try to see what lesson may be in this for you and know that the cycle of life keeps moving. Something will feed on that deer. Get back out there and make a good kill and recovery and you will be OK.

I'd almost think you might have clipped his spinal column ,when he has to drag himself around like that.
