Hey well done Jeff, props on the deer. Also, if you don't feel one bit of remorse when you take a life you need to be examined. That feeling comes out of true respect for the animal you've killed. Great job. And to those that criticize because you wanted the hide, I ask this....

What's the difference between killing a deer for the hide and killing a deer for the antlers? Nothing at all. Especially whenassuming that both deer will be eaten.

WOW!!!! What's a piebald anyway? Does it have roast, loins, and groundable meat? Can it feed the family and be healthier than beef? Yeah, I have my share of nice racks, but seems no matter how much I boil them, they're still really tough. Sorry people, I hunt for meat not ego.

Congratulations on meat in the freezer and a memory of a lifetime.

Doe, buck, or fawn, I would have shot him without thinking twice. It's a rare deer and you made the right choice. Congrats!

Congrats on the deer, if you are proud of it then that is all that should matter to you...

But this is a public forum and of course you are going to receive comments from others. With that being said, wow is that ever a small deer. I personally would not have shot it if it was purple! To each his own.

Jeff great job. I would take the shot BB or not. It's a trophy in your eyes, as well as mine, And that is all that matters.
There is a piebald on one of the places I hunt and I hope to get a shot at it. A friend of mine passed on it earlier this
year. Said it was too small. If I get it in range i'm letting the arrow fly. Again congrats on a great trophy.
