Where in Iowa did you get him? I hunt in Iowa also. (Union County) I have an 8 point almost that big on my farm right now. You said that you only get to do this once a year. You must not be a landowner. I can take 2 bucks a year. But since I wounded a smaller 8 point I have stopped hunting for this year. I am going to have to invest in a new bow and completely new set up. With only 2 weeks left in the season, I've given up on this year and started focusing on next year. Great buck though. Thanks for the pics. It's nice to see an Iowa whitetail make the board. And as for the rest of the guys, they get a LOT bigger than that around here.
