Tough year
Well so far here in central Illinois Im not seeing as many deer as usual. Normally I would have had several shot opportunities but this year I have had none. Can't figure out why. I guess Im due for a bad season. Hows it going for the rest of you?

crappy. started out good. saw quitea few deer the first 2 weeks. then saw nothing 11 straight times out. then saw 9 the next 3 times out. go figure. it's going to get better every day now. hang in there.

Actually it's been excellent for me. A 125# and 134# doe and a 210# real nice 10 pt. Also seen a lot of deer I've passed on and really looking forward to the coming rut and muzzleloader season starting the 28th. I can shoot one more deer archery and it can be either sex.

RE: Tough year
I'm having a bad year. Lost access to 3 properties that I can hunt due to various reasons, mostly ownership changes.
I have been out 6 times this year, and have seen a grand total of 1 deer.
I hunt the morning and evening times, about 2 hours each time.
I'm really jealous right now of you guys who have great areas to hunt.
