I don't know what would be considered the best draw weightbecause everybody pulls different weight. I use to pull 80lbs, then 70lbs now i'm down to 60lbs. I voted 50-60lbs because thats all i buy now when i purchase a bow.
Bows are so efficient these days that 60lbs is plenty imo maybe even 50lbs. Personally i think the ideal draw weight is whatever weight you can comfortably pull and hold especially while sitting.

I pull 55

I like the way my husband's arrow flies much better at 65 or 70.

I was pulling about 42 up until this season. I had no confidence past 20, I just couldn't get it tuned in right at that weight. Makes the longer shots kinda impossible. Now I feel confident up to 25 and if I had a perfectly broadside wide open shot at 30 I'd probably take it.

I pull around 68lbs my bow is maxed out shooting around 296 FPS. However I have noticed that you may not have the speed but you can hold your bow steadier and longer if you just crank it down a notch. That can help out when the ole biggen steps out and stops behind a tree.

The best draw weight is the one on your bow. Assuming you are comfortable with it.

I would think that the higher you go the better. But most imporantly is how effective and comfortable you can be at what ever draw you have
