For example. Pointing your bow at your target and drawing it back. If you need to raise the bow or lean back to pull it back, you're drawing too much weight and you'll get busted.
I watched a hunting show last night on the outdoor channel, don't remember which one, and the guy was drawing WAY too much weight and had WAY too much movement. However, he did manage to stick a 17pt.
My bow is a 60-70# bow and have it set to about 63-64#. I can max it out and draw it back just fine but not at some awkward angles like you find sometimes in a treestand.

I pull 65# as smoothly as I pull my sons 25# bow.

I saw that as well, some country singer I think. I had the same thought, awful lot of movement there, lucky there are no other deer around. AND, he didn't have a harness on, lucky and stupid.

I get a lot of negative comments when I tell someone I shoot an 80 lb bow, like I am doing something wrong. Obviously they don't shoot bowtech! LOL My liberty pulls like 70...set at 80...
I see nothing wrong with shooting what ever your comfortable with.

RE: draw weight
I don't believe there is anything "wrong" with hunting with an 80# bow. However, most people can't pull back the heavier draw weights or hold them at full draw for an extended amount of time without alot of movement.
If you can get away with that much movement while hunting, I suppose the heavier draw weight could help with penetration and a flatter trajectory.
In my hunting experience, movement kills.

68# and comfortable. I had it maxed out @ 71# but I a softball injury and got a slight tear rotator cuff this spring and have been rehabbing it back up. 33 thinking I was under 20 again sliding headfirst into third. Bad thing I was called out too! I was down to 60# and have slowly been regaining my strenth.

I shoot 70 very comfortably. I've even been toying with buying a 70-80 lb bow next time and setting it around 77#. Maybe an Allegiance at 77# with a 29.5" draw and speed mods. That thing would be smokin'.
