I just recently realized they came out with a retractable system.. . Saw it at Dick's last weekend when I was buying a new stand. I would like to get one or two next year, as for now, it's just the basic harness for us.... boring, pain in the butt, and uncomfortable.

HSS has my vote. I bought one 2 years ago and love it.

I have two - one from Browning which is very quiet but is too heavy. My second one is the one from Gorilla. I like this one the most because of it's features. Although my brother-in-law just bought one from HSS and it seems nice.

I like my Hunt 'em High vest. Its pretty cheap and basic, but never makes any noise and generally stays out of the way.

I know a lot of guys bought HSS's and like them. I have used one borrowed from APAJaws on here a few times and they really are MUCH more bulky and no easier to put on than the Loggy Bayou. My recommendation is to at least look at both before you buy.........

Just a update, I went ahead and got the HSS vest from Cabelas. They might of redesigned this Pro model. The buckles are more off to the side of the vest. Where as the previous verison the buckles seem more in the front of the vest . Which would cause the "crotch problems" . I also got the linemans rope for added safety climbing up the tree. As for the buckles, theymight be atad overkill, but you'll never have to worry about them failing. All in all I'm impressed with the quality of the HSS vest. It was abit pricey, but not as pricey as a wheelchair. Sewerdude
