    im a ky hunter to and killed my first with a bow this year. i know what you mean about the one buck rule but i understand that it helps grow some bigger bucks. what part of ky are you from?

    My buddies always said that a first bow kill is a major milestone in a hunters life - regardles of the animals size, etc. (I shot a 60lb yearling buck that I thought was a doe until it came time to field dress). Enjoy hunting and keep learning. Congratulations.

    Congrats on your first also!! I live in Louisville. Hunt in Oldham county to my north and Hardin county to my south. Occasionally will get an opportunity to hunt here in Jefferson, but not very often. What part of the state are you from?
