Walmart Bino.
im needing a pair of binoculars and im going to walmart soon and i was wondering which would be better.the 20x50 spotting scope or the 16x20 binoculars. they are only a 5 dollar difference but im leaning towards the spotting scope because of magnification and clearity. has anyone ever baught either of these and how reliable are they??are they worth 40$$ or not ? just dont wanna get jipped and want a good deal.thanks and god bless!

I'm not convinced I need or want a spotting scope but I just sprang for a pair of Steiner binoclars (Predator 12X40s) and I'm thrilled with them. A bit expensive but I've used cheap binoculars all my life and I can now see this is one of those you get what you pay for items. That's my best advice...get a good pair that you'll be happy with for a long time.

The WM binoculars will work fine, but remember you get what you pay for. I have been using the Tasco binoculars from Wal-Mart for years and would like a better set after trying out some higher end ones. Wal-Mart has some in their diplay case at the counter for around $100 that are awesome, but I cant remember the name-may be Bushnell.By the way, I am a manager at Wal-Mart.

Get the Bino's if you ever do buy a spotting scope you want to spend good money..
The wally world Nikons are pretty good..but they are not fog proof or water proof. (again like some said ...you get what you pay for)
Clarity is ok..but trying to look through them with a facemask on they tend to fog.

BTW - you really do not need 16x binos. I assure you, you would be much better off getting something in 8x or 10x power range. They will be smaller, they will gather more light, and they will cost less, generally, allowing you to put the extra money into a better quality bino.
Check this link. www.durhamoutdoorsupply.com . Also you can look through what Bass pro shops has, and search the web for a better price.

Also try:
http://www.theopticzone.com
and
http://www.opticsplanet.net
There are others too. Some of these three have free shipping on a number of products too.
Also do a web search for vortex binoc's. I hear they are a real good deal for the money. Not expensive at all, but good quality.
Good luck
Also, It would really help to know what kind of money you are talking about here. Just even a range.
