I hunt field edges mostly, But do get into some state forests and gamelands to hunt some of the big woods areas here in PA

i can't really classify myself as only one of the above. at some point or another i usually hunt in each situation. it just depends on what time of year and what state i'm hunting in.

I mostly hunt smaller woodlots so I don't really fit into any category either. Like Greg, I try to locate good funnels and wait it out once the deer really start turning on.

Funnels that lead to known doe bedding areasare places I really like and go out of my way to find. Idon't even care if there is any buck sign around. If the does are using the funnel, about the third week of October I'll start hunting it knowing that the bucks will start coming through.

My hunting spots have been different each year and sometimes each hunt based on whats available. I like edge and funnels mainly.Probably because its quieter to get into since I usually hunt someone elses land and don't have the opportunity to dose or cut trails.

I hunt edges some but mostly deep woods. Hardly ever stalk and never will or have hunted bait piles or feeders.

canned hunts for tame deer thats where the challenge is at...but its not on the list...my vote is for hunt in a can
