This happened to me last week when I got my doe. two does and three yearling came to by my stand. all of them except the biggest doe came to my feeder. the bigger doe snorted and ran away. the other deer ran a little but didn't know why the bigger deer was scared so they left very slowly. well the other doe stoped ten yard to my left to check what was wrong and I shot her. I was lucky she stayed still long enough

I use a "system" in business that I learned many years ago. When I feel like there may be some resistance to a situation.....I used to follow the theory of offering my concessions (whatever I could stand on a particular project) up-front. I don't do that anymore. Now.....I ask for EVERYTHING I want.....look my customers straight in the eye......and here's the key....SHUT UP. An old associate told me......"first one to talk, loses".

I think the deer are playing this game with us. they'll blow...stomp....stomp...blow.....trying to get us to show our hand. It's a neat game......and I have only been in it, once. She walked out fo the field (after about 7-8 minutes of me remaining totally silent).....none the wiser.....and a LOT more curious.
