Just had a question, my bow is tuned for carbon arrows wich i shoot for deer. Is it bad for my bow if i shoot aluminum arrows as well for squirrels?

It shouldn't be any problem for your bow. But I don't know about your accuracy with both kinds of arrows.

Aluminum arrows fly quite a bit slower than carbon arrows. You CAN shoot them through your bow. However your site pins will need to beadjusted for the aluminum arrows. I'd just shoot the carbons if I were you. I wouldn't alter anything.

Aluminum of the same spine as your carbon arrows tend to have a larger diameter. They will not be tuned out of your bow and will not impact the same point as your carbons but no, they will not damage the bow in any way as long as they of adequate weight, over 5 grains per pound at least. Shoot away, you might not hit what your aiming at when sighted in for carbons, but you may, shoot away.

I shoot carbon too, and I have been known to take a shot or two at a groundhog, but all I do is take an old broadhead or leave a field tip on for those kinds of shots... not likely to hurt your carbon arrow shootin' at critters, they're pretty resilient (the arrow that is).

yup i have a 4 arrow quivver, And i have 3 arrows with sharp heads on them and then i have one with a dull head. All the same arrows, (carbon) (easton axis to be exact) but i just use the dull one for rabbits squrriles fox gournd hogs. ect
