GET IT MOUNTED!! You'll have like six months or so to save up the "doe". Dont regret not having it done. That is a trophy in any book...

Thanks for all the help on this.

I took it to the taxidermist last night. So iw ill be having it done.

Awesome Deer!!! Congrats My first Deer with a rifle was a decent 6 pointer when I was a sophmore in high school, I mounted it and still have it to this day 18yrs later, and aside from the fact I will alwasy remember my first deer, it's nice to still lookat it and remember that day.I started Bow hunting last year and the skill level that you need to sucessfuly take a deer with a bow is a trophy to me. bear in mind I hunt State land with a ton of competion so I find it to be a serious challange.

Get it mounted. I didn't get my first mounted and have regreted it ever since.
