Sorry to hear of your bad luck, isn't odd that it only seems to happen to you on the biggest buck, things like this don't happen on does or if they do you can swallow it a little easier. Hang in there, I feel your pain. After 20 years it's amazing what can go wrong that shouldn't.

RE: 12pter....10yds...release loop broke
I had a friend back in the 60,s draw his 60 lb recurve back on a big buck and the bow broke in two. I knowed a guy that with his recurve shot and his bottom limb hit a limb in the tree and broke it and still hit the 10 pointer high but, killed it with about 3 inchs pentration. I have never had any problems that way in the 38 year of bowhunting. Make sure before you go that ever thing is in good shape. I have been using the tied in loop 8 years now and have never had one brake.

I had a big ol' 12pointer at 25yds and he was too into a doe and I couldnt get him to stop He was prolly a 140class buck. Man, I was at full draw when he came out and just kept going. I was happy to see him but disapointed that he wouldnt stop. Woulda had a 25yd quarting away shot

I deffinetley know how you feel. I had this happen to me on a six point. He was only 8yds away and I drew my bow back to find out that my arrow was sitting between my rest and bow, but not on my TM hunter rest like it was supposed to be. I didnt get a shot because he took off when I let my draw up and to fix my arrow and the arrow fell to the ground to scare him off. Lesson learned, but will never forget that particular hunt always haunts me. I feel for ya

The biggest one I ever saw I was at 18 yards broadside. I was 20 feet up and my bow was 20 feet down. So after I jumped on the arrow and killed myself........
I feel your pain. No I don't... you have it all to yourself. What a bummer. Was it new or was it worn and you just put off replacing it? Either way ......... the timing sucks. Did you bust your lip too?
