Default AWESOME DAY

I set out my ground blind in a fence row on Friday night. I didnt have time to hunt it so I staked it down and left. I start walking to it on Sat. morning and I see two does on the top of this hill in the field. I sat down and waited for them to go around the side and I went to sneak around the hill and I see her stick her head up on the top of the hill so I grunted. She cant smell me yet. She gets to 30yds, too far for me, and winds me. She didnt blow or put her tail up.

I kept walking and I get in my blind. I sat about 20min. and a little buck walks out just out of range. He just walks on down thru and out the field. After that I just seen two does haulin in the bottom of the field. The farmer comes back at about 10:00 to finish the field. After he leaves with the first truck load, I pack up and decide to walk the fence since the strong winds were in my favor.

I start walking slowly and hear one close blow so I draw my bow and wait. A little buck comes out about 25yds. away but wont stop but I hear more. A doe comes haulin a$$ out of this fence line. I hear even more!!!! I swing my bow around and see HIM. A 140 class 12pointer. He comes out grunting at the doe and I grunt at him and whistle and even said "hey deer" and he wont stop at all. I didnt want to screw up anything anymore so I just went home.

I went back out that evening to the place I thought that buck was headed and set in my blind again. Only problem, they are combining the beans behind me on the other side of a creek. I am on a small field edge. I hear a doe bleat so I grunt at her. Then she shuts up. I hear something in the field to the opposite side of the doe and look to see a big bodied 8pointer about 60-70yds away. I grunt at him and he stops and brisles up. He turned back to the direction he came from. I look and see another buck at the edge hitting a scrape. I see him look back and I see another buck step out. I can see horns walking. He goes over and hits that same scrape the same way the other did. He plays in the licking and urinates in the scrape. The third buck would go about low 140class. I look at the woods and see another buck and I see a monster walking out. He is about a 160 CLASS MONSTER He plays in the scrape and I grunt, he stops and walks toward me. Then stops. I grunt once and he bobs his head trying to see the buck grunting at him.

The truck that is gonna pick up the grain is coming down the road. CRAP!!!!! It starts into the field and all 4 bucks go down toward the creek and out of the fields. I tried rattlin but that just didnt work. Man what a day. I had a blast. I cant wait till tonight when I go out to that field again

OK screw going tonight. When I went out and saw all of them deer, I was by myself. This morning my buddy tells me he cant go tonight and that I should leave the blind there and go tonight since it was windy all night and day and that it is supposed to slow up this evening and them bucks should be coming out and moving.

I told mom and dad this this morning. I asked if I could go yet and they said that since my buddy wasnt going, I cant go cause I could get hurt. Ill be in a ground blind less than a mile from the house with a cell phone, how much can go that bad? Now my buddys blind has to just sit there untill whenever. Neither of my parents hunt, so they just dont get it. The passion/addition/felling, anything involved in hunting In the words of Will Smith "Parents Just Dont Understand."
