I've read sooo much about broadheads my head spun!!!!! I was down to the magnus stinger, slick trick, and G5 striker. I found a decent deal on strickers($56for six shipped)and decided i'm going to give them a try. Tests by members of another forum didn't hurt either. The top shelf heads are going for 30 bucks for three nowadays. Muzzies tend to be in the middle of the road pricewise and are absolutly leathal!!!!! I used them with my old bow, just wanted a change.
There are many good heads out. You typically get what you pay for. However, one tester on the Crimson Talons were VERY impressed with them.
check hout 5shots site http://www.broadheadtests.com the free section is a good place to start researching.
I second the "stay away from mechanicals" comment. I don't have the best of luck and want to leave NOTHING to chance!

There's a reason Black Diamonds have been around forever. They are tough (the tips are triple thickness) and they get the job done. I've used Deltas for years. They are relatively inexpense compared to most of the newer high-tech heads on the market. You can resharpen them. They hold an edge. I like sharpening a broadhead, my knives, etc. Kind of a prehunt ritual I guess. Most hunters won't "stump shoot" with their expensive broadheads. I keep a couple arrows just for that purpose....I like to shoot and usually shoot my way back to my truck when I'm done hunting.... I just hope all these high tech heads don't put the Black Diamond folks out of business.......

Sence your new to archery and looking at using at muzzys broadheads? Well Muzzys is one of the best broadheads ever made.
Its reputation is knownworld wide for being one of the best for yrs now.
It is a broadhead that is tough durable and extremely sharp and will most definitely get the job done.
Although there are other great broadheads on the market today aswell?
And i bet if you ask other hunters on this forum you will find that out
(imo) Stick to a well known broadhead like Muzzys or magnus, slicktricks,
thunderhead,wasp.ect..And you will be fine..

If it's not too late I seriously would recommend magnus stingers. THE sharpest broadhead out of the backage, unbreakable, lifetime warranty w/ no questions asked, and they fly exactly like your field points. They are fairly cheap (22 bucks for 3) and you can get them anywhere unlike slick tricks. Plus they are a cut-on-contact which gives superior penetration. MAGNUS Stinger for you man.
