Default Getting Closer

As the season gets closer I thought Id remind everyone on the importance of letting someone know the exact location of where you will be huntingand what time you will be back. Always carry a flashlight, knife, matches or lighter, and most improtantly a form of communication such as a cell phone incase of an accident or you just happen to be running later than expected. I dont care if youre hunting 50 yards from your house always let someone know where you will be. If at all possible bring someone with you. Also always wear your saftey harness or climbing harness.

That's actually a really great tip. Sometimes I assume people know where I am as far as which tree etc...I stopped and thought about it, if I were to have a problem, some of my stand choices are so isolated that people might not find me if I were to have a problem. Try to leave a map for your loved ones or tell them exactly where you will be hunting. Leave several scenerios for change of stands because of wind or whatever. Be careful out there.

A succesful hunt is a safe hunt. It's always better to come back without a deer than to not come back at all!
