My first deer was a doe at 20 yards quartering away she ran about 20yards with a heart shot. It just so happened to be the first day I had ever hunted. Yeah, I was very fortunate... I did me research talked to everyone I new and felt very good about my stand location and it happened

Mine was a doe
I had already filled my BP lic so I drove back to town and got my bow.
Went back out and about an hour later a doe walked past my stand at about 20 yards.
I watched her fall in the CRP field!

As Roger Raglin would say "I had a pretty good day"

That was my 5th year of bowhunting
Bear Whitetail II, 55lb, I think it was a blazing 195 FPS
Alum arrows
Hoyt Top Cut broadhead(anyone remember those?)
Shooting fingers back then

That doe really got me hooked on bowhunting
I remember it like it was yesterday

My first one wasa bedded-down button buck in a cornfield at 20 yards. Talk about adrenaline! :-) He went about 25 yds. after my arrow went through his jugular.
