Default Not Very Happy

Well, A good friend of mine told me yesterday that there is a group of bowhunters that are hunting near my home. He states that on the second day of the season, one of the guys shot a big 10 pointer through the guts, he states the guy followed it a little then gave up. Then the same bow hunter moved his stand a couple hundred yard and shot another big 10 pt right through the front shoulder, and he never found that one either. Then I hear that the person who shot and hit the last 2 bucks connected with a large eight point but did get this one. These deer around here are farm deer and we almost know them by name. My family, father inlaw brother inlaw usually put or meat in the freezer for the winter with these deer. Man I have bowhunted all my life and never gave up on a deer, it took me three days to find one but I found it, and I felt great when I did. How can an ethical hunter do this crap? He killed some reall good breeding stock for the area, and I am not going to tell my young son about this because he cant wait to go out there with me and hunt. He took his first buck last year near the house and this year he is pumped to go thinking those deer are around. Enough said

"How can an ethical hunter do this crap?" There in lies the problem, this person does not deserve the title of hunter, he is a dirt bag, plain and simple, I would be tempted to try and have a calm talk with him and tell him next time he sticks one to come get me and I will teach him how to recover a deer, if he acted like a jerk I would let the person who owns the property he was hunting on know what type of person he is giving permission to hunt his property. If I was the property owner and found these deer dead and rotting due to an unethical hunter I may not give anyone else permission to hunt. You need for the good of ethical hunters to at a minimum let the property owner what has happened.

Sound like a bit of story telling to me. I would not take 100% stock in any story like that. usually if your good enough to get above three big bucks like that, you care about what you are doing and will search for the deer.
