I use Gorilla baby Kongs and love em. Had a friend sit in one and he was uncomfortable with the little plateform when up 30 feet but I don't mind it. Lone wolfs are awsome no doubt about it and I own 2 of their climbers but I can buy 3 baby Kongs for the price of one Lone Wolf hang on.

Another thing about the chippewa wedgeloc stands is you can e-mail or call them and they will send a great video/demo of their stands. There climbing sticks are way too expensive though and heavy.

I'm leaning towards what Titleist 03 said. I have a few trees that I want to hang stands in.......but I don't wan tto leave my stand out there for someone to steal. SO......I bought a Lone Wolf Alpha hong-on. I then purchased (for $12.99 ea) 3 extra hook straps (from Lone Wolf). I hook a cheap ladder ($40) to the tree I want a stand in......climb up and attach the hook strap........then all I have to do is attach the stand to the hook when I arrive. Pack my 9.5lb. stand out....and it's safe. If someone needs a $40 ladder that bad......more power to 'em.

I also have a summit copperhead. Someone mentioned this one, before. It's a VERY comfortable stand.

Good luck!

Jeff

Save yourself the headache and get a gorilla silverback. Really any Gorilla product would be great but so far this is my favorite.

I recently bought some Lone Wolf sticks, so as bad as I want a Lone
Wolf Alpha stand, its going to have to wait. Until then I will use my old Loc ONs, an Amacker, and an API.
