Congratulations!
Teaching kids is an aweful lot of fun! But, it sure doesn't sound like your youngster needs much help.
My son Josh started shooting right around the same age. At age eight he met up with Byron Ferguson and Josh had him sign a picture of himself shooting his longbow. Byron commented on what good form Josh had. It was very uplifting for him.
Below is a picture of Josh (now 11) shooting a selfbow (35# at 26") that we recently made at the hawkeye bowmen shoot. Never thought we'd have so much fund spending the day making a bow for him. It took us from 10:00AM to 9:00PM to finish it all up.
Below that one is a pic from this spring of a group that Josh shot with this Howard Hill Cheetah longbow (40# at 26").
A couple of things that I have found out with youngsters is to keep things as fun and interesting as possible. They love targets that make noise, leak some kind of liquid, explode (shaken up soda can, ballon) etc. Recently my son has taken a liking shooting at Osama targets thanks to Double Creek . If you want to see concentration at its max put up a folded dollar bill and let him have it if he hits it.
Make sure you post some pics, I'd love to see them.
