I messed up, I think

I could hold it back for 10 min if a deer was stareing at me.
It's called "archery hunting", some times things just don't fall into place. You didn't do anything wrong, it's just that the elk didn't do whatyou wanted them to do, or what you thought they'd do!

Hey I said I could hold it, not shoot it accurate. If I didn't have full confidence about taking the shot I would not take it! When I'm at full draw, I am holding 11.6 pounds back (58lbs, 80% let off). Its not that hard for me to hold 12 pounds. If you shoot your bow regularly and depending on the let off of the bow, you can hold it back for quite some time.If I am shakeing because of muscle fatigue, then I am probably not going to take the shot.

Get over it guys, Does it matter if he held it for ten minutes or not? Give him a break. Why pick on every little thing that you dont find right? Nice try Paul! Good luck next time!

Yea, whats the issue with holding the bow for 10 minutes? Whys that a big deal to these guys? Im sure he was exxagerating. But to the original poster: I'd say you had a good day, I mean, you got one closed in enough fora shot, thats a feat in itself bro. You'll get em.
