I use the G5 peep sight as well and I love it! Your eye is just naturally drawn to it...

I use a peep and kisser button and shoot both eyes open. As long as its your dominant eye looking throgh the peep, you shouldn't have a problem keeping both open. I shoot my scoped 30-06 with both eyes open as well. Faster target acquisition.

I have both a peep and a no-peep on my bow. The no peep really works well in low light conditions an it makes a niec backup just in case the peep sight doesn't line up just right. And I do shoot with both eyes open whether it is my bow or rifle or shotgun or pistol.
