i am getting married in a couple of weeks and my bride has an aunt and uncle that live south of chicago(thats about all i know till the wedding) but anyways i was wondering if any of you ill. hunters could tell me if you can just buy non-resident tags over counter or do they have a lottery, and how much is it. would it be worth checking out?

Lottery which has already taken place, but if any are left you may still be able to get a permit by mail which is for either sex. $350 plus license. Antlerless tags may be purchased otc for $15.

its worth a try but good luck. since the lottry has already happened. i do know that in some counties there were some leftovers. just depends on what county. contact dnr .they will tell you yea or nay.
oh and congrats on the wedding. get her into the hunting sport. trust me. they dont bi*** as much if they are going with. and its a whole new rush to watch your sweet heart drop her first deer.. good luck man.
