What kinda rangefinder?
Anyone have any feedback on a good, not too expensive but still quality rangefinder? I have decided to pick one up, but cant make a decision one a make and model.
I like the Bushnell 450 Sport or the Leupold Rx-1.
Thanks all.

RE: What kinda rangefinder?
My friends and I all have range finders. We never use them but to set our distance marker trees in our hunting area. So no more than 40 yards. For rifle season I set my rifle 1.5" high at 100 hards and I shoot dead on to 300 yards. So no need for one during the rifle season. If you get one get the cheapest one that you can buy.

I have a Yardage Pro 1000
I picked it up last year for a little under 400 bucks.
So far I'm not sure if it's worth the money or not. I'd say based on my experience so far, that if you don't plan on using it for a lot of 4-500 yard shots I'd agree, go with the cheapest one.

I have the Bushnell 1000 yard one also and it works great. It is kinda bulky but I like it. Only problem is it wont pick up deer sized targets much further than 400 yards. I took it antelope hunting and was kinda dissapointed in it. It has to have a really reflective target to do anything past 500 yards. It also works great for making an impromtu rifle range for you and your friends to sight your guns in.

I have the bushnell yardage pro sport, and it works pretty well, its just a little too large for me. I wanted something more compact so I'm selling it. I just bought the Nikon 440 and it 's just right size wise, but I haven't really played with it yet. I know that the bushnell wouldn't range black targets on the 3D course, haven't tried it with the Nikon yet. The Leica has a nice bright red LED read out that would be great for low light situations, but as my buddy who ownsa Leica says, is it worth an extra $150 to see the readout a few minutes sooner? I don't think I'll ever need anything to range more than a couple hundred yards, so I think I'm good to go with the Nikon 440 for a good long while.
