Head to Head bow test 2006

This is about a bunch of people who are blindfolded and are choosing their favorite bow in different categories without even seeing it. Just by holding, listenting, and comparing. I thought it was pretty interesting, check it out for yourself. BTW it the winner didnt suprise me. haha

That was fairly interesting. I was sure glad to see the Trykon's draw cycle on the bottom of the list. That was the main reason I traded in for a Bowtech.
Don't know why Bowtech wasn't on top of the list. Blindfolded on not, I know the feel of a MAtthews. All those guys they picked probably owned a MAtthews even before showing up to participate.[:'(]

I never have shot a Bowtech. I have shot the Ross, Trycon, Bear, PSE, and a few others. They all were good shooting bows but when it came to handshock, and noise the Switchback beat them hands down. I'll give up some speed any day of the week for a comfortable draw, zero handshock, and very little noise. I'm going to make it a point to shoot a Bowtech because I have seen alot of these test and the Bowtech is always very close or above the Switchback.

Surprised to see the Fred Bear ranked so high. Not that there is anything wrong with Bear bows, just that it is several hundred dollars less than many of the others that it was compared against. Guess it says something for the Fred Bear line.

Great read. Im also in the process of deciding on a new bow and have so far got it narrowed down to switchback XT or bowtech tribute. I love everything about both bows and after shooting, have found them to both be very quiet and forgiving. I think i like the grip and the speed of the tribute so im leaning towards it right now.

I have purchased the Fred Bear Instinct and absolutly love the thing. Its been rated as the only bow to run with the 800 and 900 dollar bowsthat only cost 400. The other bows are all great choices as well.

Too many glaring oddities in this to consider it of any value. Honestly, the Bear Bow? It'sa piece of junk. As they stated, not a very scientific study. Plus they left one of the best bows in the country out of it, the DARTON.[8D][8D] You could do this same test in 30 different places and get 30 winners. I suspect that keystone is a Mathews dealer and invited mostly Mathews shooters.[&:][8D]
