Would you go to war with your bow?

Would you go to war with your bow?
Imagine for a minute that all guns, advaced weapons, ships, planes, missles are all gone. All there is are trebuchets (catapalts) and battering ramsand all those other old world weapons.
So, would you take your trusty bow to war, as they did back in the day, and fight in a large standing army?
Kinda cool, but scary at the same time, I would hate for one of your bowtech boys to be staring down my reflex superslam!

RE: Would you go to war with your bow?
Well I was gonna reply to this but I realized that I am not qualified to now, after I read your post really well. I was going to say that I ABSOLUTELY would!!! But then I read it better. I see that you say that all advanced weapons, such as jets, missles etc, will be gone. Well, I shoot a Mathews, so my bow will not be available , so I guess the Hoyt and Bowtech guys will have to fight!
That will get it going!

I would with a recurve.
If someone draws with a recurve at the same time as a compound I think the recurve would get the arrow off first. Once you practise alot with a recurve it becomes an extention of your arm.
