Can't find the deer!!
I've had my trail cam out on the property I hunt, but I can't get any pictures of deer. I know the deer are there; I see them when I shine and while I'm walking on the land. Anyone have any ideas on what I'm doing wrong?

Usea corn flavored camera?Make sure you don't have the camera too high. I put mine about 2 foot above the ground.
My buddy put his just above his waist height and never got a pic. Moved it down where mine was and started getting some good pics.
Good luck.

First off is the camera working? if it is then it doesn't sound like it is in the right spot.
try a different location.
if you know enough spots where the deer aren't soon you will know where they are..

RE: Can't find the deer!!
depending on the area i really try to put my camera up in natural funnels or any type of staging areas or tree lines where deer will naturally go....in CA we can't put out food so it is harder, but i still get lots of pictures. If you can put out food do so and you will be sure to get some pictures...If you are walking out and spooking the deer this may be a problem, try not to spook the deer and stay as scent free as possible when putting up the camera and removing it,,,this will help i guarantee it..

Well id try and put then cam close to the ground but try and put it on the edge of a good worn trail or close to a watering hole or near a source of food, cuz thoose are the most likely spots yoyur gonna set a stand up on is where the deer go not where you go.
