What does everyone do before they leave to go hunting or scouting.. I mean how do you dispose of the scent.. Do you wear special clothes, shower with scent free stuff, wash clothes in scent free, ect..

I am just wondering what everyone else does?

call me crazy, but i have no faith in scent blocking clothes. However, i regularly apply scent enlimination sprays and use scent wafers.

Another goofy thing i'll do, is build a small leaf fire and stand in the smoke. This works well for me cause i hunt in areas where the smoke smell is common and doesnt alarm the deer. its a neat idea, i have no real evidence if it works cause i usually hunt the wind and rarely get busted anyway.

I hunt domesticated deer. No scent reduction needed for scouting. I do wash my stuff in camo wash and scent free soap for hunting though.

I don't treat scouting any different than hunting. I don't want to bump a buck off while hunting so I wouldn't want to do it while scouting. The only difference is I scout from afar but when I do the core areas, it's all about control.

Scout on Saturday afternoon just after my weekly bath and gathering my cloths from the line. Walk through the barn by the small cedars on the way out.

My clothes are always washed and as scent free as possible. I use a scent killer as well.
