RE: Cut on Contact vs. Chisel Tip
I am thinking of switching from my Crimson Talons to the Crimson Raptor, cut on contact and mechanical, with replaceable blades. Best of all worlds. Want to see how they do on turkeys...... if they do well might use them for deer also!

RE: Cut on Contact vs. Chisel Tip
I shot Muzzy for several years and had great success with them. This past year I shot the Magnus Stingers and was very impressed. Two complete passthroughs. And this year i'm switching to the Snuffer SS's, i havent shot them yet but they look like they're gonna do awesome.
"5-Shot" gave them a great review as well. check out the link.

RE: Cut on Contact vs. Chisel Tip
And back to the original question..... looking for a source to tell you the best. Well heck, it's not rocket scientry. Cut on contact slice more artereis and veins and do penetrat better(supposedly) in soft tissue. BUT, with todays arrows, bows and broadheads, penetration isn't a problem with your setup. Cut on contact points do tend to roll on contact with large bones. Tropcar type tips don't roll over. But then, they don't penetrate as well. But again with your setup, don't worry about either. The only thing to consider, if you got a truly good flying arrow with a cut on contact tip, you can use that same set up and arrow for just about any animal.... anywhere. If you're talking deer... it doesn't matter.
