Fixed for me. They work everytime as long as the shot is good. I am going to be using the G5 by Montec this year, I like the one-piece construction.

Fixed... They are already open... You don't have to have any doubt as to if they will open.Seems like an easy choice to me.

I shoot fixed and they work perfect so why try expandable. Fixed are already open and I don't have to worry withan expandle if it will open or no.

Steelforce......
I was a newbe last year and the salesman said they are the best. I do agree...they have the best groups that I've shot. They better for 30.00 for 3.

I shoot Muzzy 3 blade 100 grain (and am lusting after pink ones!!!!) -- fixed. I like the looks of the expandable broad heads but 9 times out of 10 I am hunting a pop up blind with shoot through windows and I fear they would expand when they hit the window and throw the shot off. I haven't tried them through the window but just know that Murphy's law would do me in (and I have the hole in the side of the blind from last year's uh oh to prove it!).

Fixed blade for deer, mechanical for turkey. I only use the mech's because of the large diameter cut. Turkeys have a small kill shot and I want all the help I can get.
