RE: no problem on game but cant shoot paper
Most people can't shoot paper because they are command shooting when it floats by the X or 10 ring, however most people don't even know this, most won't admit it, or they simply don't realize that this is a bad thing. There is no defined X or 10 ring on a deer or 3D target, therefore people don't realize how big their float is, and because they can't see how big the float is they hold in a relaxed state and execute clean shots and shoot tighter groups. This is the discrepency between 3D targets and paper for you I would bet money. You would be amazed at how accurate you can be when in a relaxed state allowing yourself to float and just consistently pulling through the shot, even if your float is bigger than the spot you want to hit. If you talk to world class spot and fita shooters, they will even tell you that they can't keep it floating on the X ring on a vegas face at 20 yards most times, however they seem to have no problems shooting 40+ X's out of 45 arrows. It is because they have learned to focus on trusting the float and pulling through and executing a clean shot even if they aren't holding perfectly still. This doesn't make any sense though to hear until you actually try it yourself and until you have built a repeatable form and shot execution which takes a LONG time.
