thanks to all who responded with great points.
I have been shooting the new high end bows, and yes, I am definitely shooting a dinasaur.probably becausethis is the bow I learned to bow hunt with, shot my first 140 class 8pt, etc...it has sentimental value.as far as penetration goes,BGfisher and rybohunter make a great point-itcould probably be tuned better. it does not even compare to the new bows, though. I am likely going to upgrade because I enjoy shooting and I think i will really enjoy the improved performance.
I really liked the Hoyt Trykon, Bowtech Allegiance( I have a 31" draw) and the Mathews Swithback LD....but then again, they are the only ones I have shot....funny how when you shoot a bow this old,ALL the newbows feel great!
