Use Acetone to get the old glue off. It won't take any plastic off, meaning you need to scrape the arrows really good to get all of the old vane material off, but then the acetone on a cloth or paper towel will get ALL the glue off. It works really good and has no damaging effects to the arrrow.

i use a knife to scrape off the old glue, but there is always the possiblity of splintering the carbon arrow. Thats why some guys get this zipstrip which makes it easier to get off the old glue and vanes without worrying about ruining an arrow

The Isopropyl is used to CLEAN the arrow and get any oil and residue off left behind from your hands or whatever.. You'll get better adhesion this way and your fletchs wont fall off as easy..
