Default Safety Harness?

Reading the post about the recall on the Summit harnesses got me to thinking. How often should you replace a safety harness? I'm sureit would be a good idea if you ever fell, but are there any time limits or expiration dates so to speak?

Good question. I believe it's every 5 years or after a fall. And obviously after any signs of wear and tear.

Got an older harness/vest style and it says that should you fall, then time for a new one...... and it should be checked each season and if shows wear, cuts, etc, then time to replace!

Wish I could find a harness that allows you to hunt, FACING the tree.
All of the harness straps are at the back of your neck. THey do not work with this position.
I lke to use the tree as a shield, but cannot execute the bow shot with a strap over my shoulder.
So must opt for the belt safety strap.
Don't tell my wife.

Try a loggy Climber then.

I just inspect it,every hunt! I have the same connection from the strap on the tree and harness for 15 years. I hand to modify the new set up because it was too constrictive.
