Default Just removed my peep

After following the No-peep thread on here the past few days I'd pretty much made up my mind that I wanted to try one. Then I thought about the guys that used them and took them off. I decided to try shooting without a peep or a no peep and was pretty pleased with the results.
My form is pretty consistant so I thought I'd do OK. I didn't do as well as with the peep but I think with practice I'll do better. My ability to see the target has improved tremendously.
I've been planning to get a new sight because of problems seeing the pins on my TR Matrix. I can see them better but I will still be getting a new G5, Spott-Hogg, or Dusk Devil.
Thanks guys for sharing about your experiences shooting without a peep. I think I'll become a better archer because I'll be relying on form for accuracy. I also think this will extend my shooting time in low light.

The only bow I have a peep on is my target bow and thats only because I need a clarifier peep for the 6x lens I have in the sight

I started out using a peep sight then a friend suggested shooting without it. I never put it back on.

I love my peep, but I did take my kisser button off, and I'm glad I did. I'm not familiar w/ a no-peep. Anyone gotta link?

I agree. I did the same thing and now I shoot peepless and no kisser. I just rely on form and consistency. IMO it makes you a better archer because like you said it forces you to focus on your form and use a consistent anchor point. For short shots in hunting situations you don't need them. Good luck.

http://www.timberline-archery.comis the link for the no-peep. There are also a couple of other "improved" versions of the no-peep offered by other companies.

I have been using the no-peep by timberline archery for about a year now. I have to credit it for improving my form, tightening my groups, and even alerting me to a shift in my knocking point this week!

Thanks for the link....that's just cool!! I guess it's pretty easy to get used to? I mean, it just sounds confusing, having to aim at the target and check to make sure the dot is in thering....

Here is how I did. 1st pic is 30yds, 2nd is 20yds. Definitly room for improvment, and I have some tuning to do, but I'm pretty happy so far considering this is my 1st day without the peep.

It takes a little while to get used to it, but eventually you won't even know it's there. When you are at your anchor point, the dot will be in the ring.

I find that after about a year of using the no peep that I repeatably am at the anchor point, just double check the no peep out of the corner of my eye to be sure.
