good choice , I shot them for a few years. @ $30 for 3 a tad pricey. Switched to the NAP nitrons. Seem to fly better...

I love the way they shoot. The only draw back is that they are not very sharp out of the box. You have to sharpen them before hunting. They fly great and are tuff as nails but are dull.

I used them year beforelast and I liked them. Last year I used their tekan II just to try them. I liked the tekan as well but I found that the'd pop open when you removed them from the quiver sometimes. This year I'm gonna try slick tricks. I agree the montecs are not as sharp as I would prefer out of the box. I found that they are hard to sharpen once they're shot I guess the steel is so hard its tough. Other than that a great broadhead.

The new 2006 models are scary sharp out of the box. No need to sharpen anymore. Motown is correct for prev years they needed to be sharpen. One thing I will say aboutG5 is they listen to the consumer.Hunters complained about whistling noise the first year, they made a designed change. Hunters not complained about how sharp they were out of the box, now they have a whole new sharping process, and they are sharp!!!

You will not find a tougher broadhead. IMO

I used the Montecs for the past two years.. good broadhead.
The one piece head is awesome, leaves a devastating hole in a properly placed shot!

Only 1 problem, hard to sharpen! [:@]

I too, am switching broadheads this year to NAP nitrons... just heard too many good things.

Dont get hung up on the small head of the nitrons. They are wider than they are long. I shot a doe at 15yd with one and she bled like nobodys business. Blood trail was 2 ft wide after the first 15yds.
