Default What would you do?

I'm just curious -- about 15 years ago on the 300 acre farm I hunt two deer in the low 200's, yes inches, were locked together and found dead by the neighbor. Long story short he cut them apart and about five years ago he had them mounted and are currently in the state museum.

The Question:

What would you do if you were out deer hunting and heard a rustle in the weeds? Walk around the corner and see two giant bucks locked together... Would you shoot one, both, cut them apart and hunt them next year, shoot one than get your best bud to shoot the other? What?

I'd like to hear.

If the deer are so exhausted and shocked that
they would let you get close enough to cut them loose
then they would probally die anyway. If they still had
good energy left I would probally let them tug
it out for awhile before putting them out of their
misery. Since in Florida you can shoot 2 deer of
either sex per day during the bow season, I would
take them both. Actually during the gun season
you can shoot two bucks a day also. Yep, shootem both.

I do not think it would be safe to try to get close enough to cut them loose. I would probably shoot them both. Even though I would hate to take two high class bucks out of the breeding pool, they would probably parish anyway.

Tough situation to deal with.
