Ampahunter: I think we're talking about the same thing. Here's a picture. The set screw at the white arrow is the one you loosen to move the whole bracket with the adjustment knob at the red arrow. We(LEN) heated the nut at the red arrow, put a screw driver in the screw at thegreen arrow and tightened the knob with a set of vice grips once the locktite was heated enough to break loose. When it cooled the play was all gone from the adjustment knob and the sound gone. Before we did that, even with the set screw tightened all the way the adjustment screw/nob had 1/2 revolution of play in it.

Gotcha Dave, that's exactly the same problem I have with mine.

Dave thats a prettty slick idea for finding loose parts or noise,I think I'll try that.It's also good to see your keeping busy bud.Do you here from Frank B any more?Remember Droptine?I remember the pics you guys posted a few years ago where you all where shooting 3 d or something like that.
