Heres the Black Bear I took with my bow with SpitfireMECHANICAL broadheads that went singing from my Darton. These ol' Spitfires have not failed me yet. He didn't go but maybe 50 feet or so and laid down. I can't wait to have some bear steaks and jerky. Thanks to those who took time to give me a little advice on getting him when I needed it.

What happens when they do fail. My fixed blades will never fail to open because they already are open. I wouldn't want to track a bear that had an un-opened mechanical or a mechanical that only penetrated half way then fell out. I will stick with fixed blades and not worry about losing an animal or getting mauled. Nice bear though. Good job. What kind of bow is that.

Hey Nuge. I like the Darton alot. I've had a PSE and liked that as well but not as much. I've never had any kind of problem with it and I use it for both 3D and hunting. I'd like to get a Bowtech by next year though. But....If it ain't broke don't fix it right? Someone talk me into it.

I feel like I've seen you before...hm...nice bear anyways. Enjoy the jerky!
