I would say between 15 and 20 yards.

3 bow kills. 1-turkey~20 yards, 1 4pt~25yards, 1 doe~10yards,....I like to hunt in or close to thick stuff, so that really doesn't allow me to get shots more than 30 yards.(This also kinda takes away the temptation of taking a longer and riskier shot)

My longest was 36 yards at a whitetail. But I won't do it again. My limit is 30 yards. On average, I would say 20 yards. This year, I took two so far both were 27 yard shots quartering away. Both went about 20-30 yards before going down.

My longest is 30yds and my average is 18 yds. I dont like shooting much farther than 25 yds. I practice up to 40 yds but dont like shooting a past 25yds.

Well lets see my longest is 0 yards and my average is 0 yards, of course I have not taken one with a bow yet! I am comfortable out to 25 if every thing is perfect, maybe after I get the monkey off my back and get my first one I would consider a 30 yard shot, but once again it would have to be a deer, broadside and head down.

My farthest shot was 32 yards, but I try to keep them at 25 yards or less. The two I've killed so far this year were at 18 and 16 yards.

Today's small bucks are tomorrow's trophies.

Longest shot was just under 25 yards and it only happened once. Average is 5-15 yards. Closeset shot - I could have tackled her.

I've never hunted outside of the New Jersey woods and always hunt from the ground.

Average I'd say just under 20 - say 17 or so.

Longest - 4 days ago I took a Y buck at 43 yards. Shot a perfect X through both lungs AND the heart - that heart shot was the FIRST in 5 years of bowhunting so my 'longest' was also my 'best'.

I shoot 2 inch groups at 40 yards and this shot was a clear passthru - I was quiet happy!

I got my buck at 4 yards a week ago, but I personally wouldn't shoot a deer over 20 yards. I practice at 20 yards max.
