Default Target idea.

I have a bag target that has been abused,by my overshootingAnyhow I came up with this idea one daywhile shopping at the hardware store. If you blow the stufffing out of them and the fabric is torn away this is what you can do.The piic is a bit crude and I will refine my idea, but thought I would share the demo model first

That's a 4x8 tarp folded over my old bag target. The stuffing would not hold within the bag anymore because the bag fibers where ripped up pretty good. When you look closely at the bag targets you can see that it looks like the cover material for the bag is the same as the tarp.I wouldn't use it for broadheads, but it stops field tips beautifuly.I shot as close as ten yards with my heavy beman max 4 arrows,125 tips,71 lbs @31"draw,and the arrows wouldn't blow through at all. Also the tips where easy to remove still. Now there is a difference in the two bag targets you see in the pic.the newer one shown realy doesn't let go of the arrows to well, whereas my older one(with the blue tarp)always did realease arrows easily.I am really glad I was able to salvage it.I think the stuffing they put in the newer one is made of fiberglass or fabric window screen, andd the other has what looks like quilting material.Just thought I would throw that info out there too.
