Help!! Want to buy a bowtech but...
I am buying a new bow this month. I want a parallel limb bow - went to shoot the big three at local pro shop.
I fell in love with theTribute and Allegiance, XT was very good and Trykon seemed a little too heavy.( I am a Hoyt shooter currently-xtec).
The bowshop said they are a Bowtech dealer but they don't want to sell them b/c of a safety (cam rollover) problem,[&:] I have also read some on here on this. IS THIS TRUE OR HYPE. Allegiance has to be the quietest/fastest bow I 've ever shot.

On the 05 binaries "if" you removed the draw stop you could go to 100% letoff. This has been addressed in all 06 models. Not an issue. My guess is the shop owner wants to dump what he has in stock.

I'm having zero problems with my new 06 Allegiance.....the shop I dealt with, and a personal friend knew of zero problems with the Bowtechs thru the shop....I love mine.....
I think it's hype...You hear troubles with all makes and models...like anything, you make enough of something, there's bound to be a couple troubles...
I honestly feel alot of the troubles are nonmodel shooters spreading rumors to pump up their particular bow.....there may be a few here and there, again in all makes and models but you shouldn't fear and and I agree with TerryM, I think your shop wants to sell what he has instead of ordering your Allegiance.

I insanely love my tribute, I wish it were a woman so I could marry it. I have had no problems, nor have I had any of my other 4 friends who own one have any problems. I love both bowtech's i've owned.

Buy what you want to buy, I think the Hoyt Trykon is way too heavy and isnt it the only machined aluminum bow hoyt makes? I think Bowtech is in the top 2 right now for bows. Bowtech's are awesome. Im buying either an Allegiance or an Equalizer soon.

Do me a favor and PM me the name and address of that shop..........
Unbelievable.[>:]
The only chance that you have of locking up a 2006 Bowtech model is if you draw it without a stop post and modules in place. The cam modules have built in cable stops by design, and the adjustable cam post when set properly will not even bring that into issue.
There is absolutely no safety, cam rollover issue with Bowtech Binary cam bows.
I suppose there is if you do something really dumb like remove the parts that you aren't supposed to remove, but then again you can get hurt sticking your head between the string and cables or shooting an arrow straight up in the air too.
If your shop doesn't understand the Bowtech models and how they work, or care to sell them I will make sure that they receive a crash course ASAP to better serve their customers.
Please get me that info.

First of all, I'd really like you to either e-mail me or PM me the name of the BowTech dealer who discouraged you from purchasing one.
There is ABSOLUTELY no veracity to any claims that BowTech's bows are dangerous in ANY manner. I've got hundreds and hundreds of shots through my Allegiance, and have pressed it numerous times without the slightest worry. My Tribute performs just as flawlessly.
I know you're fairly new here (at least in post count) but the old-timers around here who know me realize I can afford to shoot any bow I want; we're not exactly hurting for money. I chose to be a part of Team BowTech because I strongly believe in their product. I shot a Mathews for six years before that, and would never bad-mouth their product, either. I just feel thatstrongly about the direction BowTech is going and the strength of their product.
I know there's been a proliferation of alleged BowTech mishaps on another website, butthe few that are legitimate are usuallyfound to come from an incorrect pressing procedure -- and the rest, mostly -- from bogus claims trumped up from bogus usernames.
