RE: Thinking of getting a matthews...any suggestions?
<BLOCKQUOTE id=quote<font size=1 face='Verdana, Arial, Helvetica' id=quote>quote:<hr height=1 noshade id=quote>The problem I have is this: "if your gonna be hunting from a treestand"<img src=icon_smile_question.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_question.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_question.gif border=0 align=middle>
What did everyone that hunted from treestands do when our bows were all 40"+ ATA?<hr height=1 noshade id=quote></BLOCKQUOTE id=quote></font id=quote><font face='Verdana, Arial, Helvetica' size=2 id=quote>
Bowfanatic, the answer is very simple, you make do with what you have. I could hunt from a tree stand with a 66" longbow. Does that mean I should or that I want to? By the same logic, what did we do before there were single cams, or split limbs or high let offs, or carbon arrows, or....
I think it all boils down to preference. If I prefer a short bow and it's available, then I should have it.

bull1870 - Thats my strategy. I am going back to a compound and have borrowed a HC Excalibur for now. I am going to watch EBAY hard after the holidays and I'll snag a Q2 or MQ32 or SQ2 for $$ less.
I missed an EBAY deal yesterday. A decked out Ultra Max for $250 Buy It Now ... I was a few minutes late <img src=icon_smile_sad.gif border=0 align=middle>

On this whole Mathews VS. Bowtech thing, I have a Legacy and my shooting buddies have SQ's and the "outlaw" of our group has the Patriot. That Patriot is heavy, loud, and shocks badly at the wrist when shot. It is faster than our Mathews by a few FPS but in the end we ALWAYS outshoot him<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle> I would go with the Mathews. I would buy a Reflex before I bought a Bowtech.
