RE: Yardage
It's possible, but it depends on how exacting you want to aim. If you want to hit what you aim at without some type of hold off, it's not. The arrows arc too much. The people slinging arrows near 300 fps will come as close as you can get. Then you'd want to sight in at something near 25 yards or something. You'd be a little off at the other distances but still be in the kill zone on a deer. At slower speeds you'll have to be more up on distances and use some hold off the further away you get from your sighted in range. You know, aim a little low at 20 a little high beyond 28 etc. With practice you can do it. ME, I like to hit what I aim at and not some spot 2 inches higher or lower. I have 4 pins out to 40 yards.

My setup is very close to mobowhunters. I calculated my fps at 273 ( http://www.pinwheelsoftware.com - downloaded OnTarget2 demo/trial version ). I can hit clearly out to 30 yards by aiming about 1-2" high with a single pin sight. I'll never go back to multi-pin sights....

RE: Yardage
The bow, poundage, arrow, broadhead etc. doesn't matter. The only thing that matters is that YOUR bow and YOUR arrow hit the mark. I have found that, for me, I don't want to have to do too much thinking at full draw, so I can't use one pin. I practice before the season from 18 - 20 feet up. I use the same arrows with the same broadheads (I have 3 that I have just sacrificed for practice). I practice with the same clothes I will wear, and from every position I can imagine I would have to take a shot from. Iuse 4 pins: for shots at 20-25-30-35 yards. I know that my first pin is good out to 20 yards because I have shot at 5 yard intervals out to 20 yards. I practice at odd yardages (ie 23-28-32 etc.) so I know exactly what will happen. If I change anything on my setup, I practice with the new setup so I will know what will happen. For me, that is the only way to minimize error on my part, andto make the best shot I can.It sounds like a lot of work, but really it only takes about 50 arrows after I do the 20 yard pin to get everything right. Then I just practice to keep sharp.

RE: Yardage
It can't. The arrow already starts above eye level.....If it's "dead on" at 25 yards, you are going to be shooting high at 10, not low. Unless you are shooting like.....straight up or something. He may have made an honest wording mistake here.
Every arrow I've ever shot gets closer to the ground the farther out it goes.....
