Sticks, Steps, or Ladders?

RE: Sticks, Steps, or Ladders?
*With 25+ stands we use all 3. For safety, it's hard to beat aladder
with 2-3 ratchetson it (we also use the 3M non-slip tape). Our dad
is 73 andusing theladders set up this wayhas really helped him out.
*For convenience, I'd say theLone Wolf Sticksare about as good as it
gets. I've come across very few trees over the years that I was not
able to use my LW Sticks in. If had the 3' extensions straps, it
would happen even less, but I'm not too crazy about using trees that
are too large for my climbing/safety belt
*When we get a location more than a 1/4 mile awayor get a tree that
is crooked (which is a lot of them, since we use a lot of hedge trees
and locust trees back near bedding areas)screw-ins are sometimes the only option. A couple of years ago I had one break clean off while I
was climbing a locust over in Illinois....this woke me up and made me
realize how dangerous things can get. So, we only use screw-ins when
we absolutely have to.
* Favorite - a combination of 4 LW Sticks and 4-5 screw-ins
Here is a picture of the screw-in that busted...

RE: Sticks, Steps, or Ladders?
i have used many t.v. tower stands in the past. this was when everyone had a tv tower that they were looking to get rid of, i dontcome across them as much as i used to but therestill around if you look hard enough.they worked well, but the way we had them set up it was more difficult for the older guys to get in to them.
these days i am using climbing sticks, dont know if there any better than the others buti know they area lot less hassle than screw ins
