Outdoorsmen: I use the 75 gr. Jak Hammer and to date I have shot 7 deer with them from anywhere between 8-40 yards and haven't had a failure yet. Good bloodtrails, open blades, good arrow flight and good penetration.

I've seen 5 shot respond in the past on this type of head, said it opened a little slower than some, was very strong and a good quality head with strong sharp blades. I'm pretty sure he was referring to the large cutting diameter 100 grain head (1.75" cutting width). I've used this head in the past, with borderline kinetic energy, with good results. They cut a HUGE hole...

I'm not sure what the cutting width is on the 75 grain, but Wasp builds quality stuff and as long as you're flinging them with enough power, they should do well for you.

I shoot the 100gr Jackhammer and love it. Flies very true and easy to tune. I have shot two deer with this head and both traveled less than 60 yards. The hole this one cuts is 1 3/4 inches. It leaves an awesome blood trail. Anyhow, 5 Shot is the expert and I'm sure he will have valuable advise. Good Luck.

Rangeball hit the nail on the head. They are a very good head and I would feel confident using them. I have not tested the 75 model, but I supsect they will open a bit faster than the larger ones.

I tried them on a suggestion from a friend who's put down 15 deer in a row with them. I've shot two deer with them. The doe, about 3 weeks ago, a huge, huge, huge blood trail. The broadhead went thru a shoulder and still penetrated both sides. The deer didn't go far!

The second deer I shot sat Oct 26. It was a 235 lb. dressed 12 pt buck. I shot it through both lungs. Can you say blood trail! It had a double blood trail, about 2-3 feet apart solid. The deer went 50 yards.

A couple notes: My KE is 64. My friends KE is 66. You need this high KE for this point be effective.

PRACTICE....PRACTICE....PRACTICE......SUCCESS!
