Holy cow that is amazing!!! You mentioned that you could tell he was in pain...I'm sure he was..but I'm just curious what was he doing to indicate his pain? Was he limping? Had gang green set in yet? So the first arrow just hugged the inside of the rib cage and got no vitals? Do you think if the arrow would have come out that the buck may have lived? Geez I've got lots of questions but the strength and resilience of deer never ceases to amaze me! Thanks for the story!

That is crazy! It just goes to show that if you don't find the deer after a truly thorough search it may make it. I can't believe he didn't catch the vitals on that first shot. Simply amazing.

What kind of broadheads was he shooting??? I'd bet they were expandable...
